I don't have a problem with the energy drink ads so much, esp. since I'm a mt. dew junkie myself.
things about the xbox 360 dashboard that annoy me: movie ads that don't come to XBL as DD when they hit video retail (ex: The Spirit), STILL not being able to view my old themes I paid for without the dashboard in front, and Jessica Chobot in those IGN Insider videos. I think they think she's supposed to be hot...?????
@6.2 I agree. he's more careful than ultimolu though, doesn't give himself 9 bubbles. but I seem to remember seeing him down to 3 bubbles recently, now all of a sudden he's back up to 5 again. hmmm...
even if it's his SDF pals bubbling him up rather than himself, he is like a broken record - definitely doesn't deserve it!
@1.6 ...yeah...hardly.
@1.3 I haven't seen all DLCs for the 360 (too many!) but it's obvious that Fable 2 and Fallout 3 DLCs are true extra content created after the fact. since, you know, they feature entirely new (large!) areas.
I DL'd Broken Steel but haven't even gotten to the high-level new content yet! couldn't stop myself from starting yet another character - love this game almost more than Bioshock!
"When it comes to religion, religion is set up in a way that it cannot be proven, nor can it be truly disproven. Just like leprechauns, you can't truly disprove they exist just because nobody has caught one yet. Doesn't mean there is any reason to believe they do exist. This is why religion isn't open to argument, because the basis on which belief is set is void of reasoning."
true. that's 1 reason us logical types don't trust it as far as we can throw it.
speaking of Fallout 3 (you did read the article, right?), child-killing is not the only censoring going on. don't forget that Bethesda was compelled by the ESRB to change the meds from actual illegal drug names to things like Med-X, Psycho, etc. I think if the drug names weren't changed they would have been given an AO rating...?
it's not really devs' fault for the physical violence/sexual violence double standard. ultimately they want to sell games, so they make what sells....
achievements will never go, they're a natural extension/evolution of the online experience. any online gaming stats-tracker is, at its core, the same thing as the achievements system. and we're only more and more likely to see such a system incorporated into our gaming system(s) as online connectivity becomes more and more mainstream.
do u have notifications turned off on your 360 (check 'preferences')? that could be why u aren't seeing/hearing your achievement unlocks.

original xbox did not have achievements. that 'rewards' system began with the 360.
The fanboys that claim, 'the fanboys that claim otherwise are usually some of the biggest fanboys of all' are usually some of the biggest fanboys of all.
IMO Mass Effect is the best 360 exclusive. 1st grown-up game with no corny, unnatural dialogue.
you'd think devs didn't know the largest gaming demographic is 18-34 males, based on the kiddy trash they continue to spew...
sure I play many anyway, don't have much of a choice. I try to just enjoy them on the merits they DO have. but it's a major pet peeve of mine.
sorry gotta disagree because games based on movies suck. never bought one, never will.
games based on movie FRANCHISES are different. with those you'll get some that aren't being thrown together JUST to capitalize on what's hot at the moment (ex: KOTOR).
sorry to hate on your honest opinion but I wish devs would spend their $ on making new IPs instead... :(
lol soda!
at least your snarky comment was funny, unlike the unimaginative losers over there >.
"Remember Sony gamers, we are the classy, mature, and intelligent gamers of the video game industry!"
that made me lol, hard!
makes me want to become an n4g contributor. since it would be so much easier to put such content on a PS3 that connects with, y'know, EVERYTHING (as u sony sheep love to point out), I'm sure I could find multiple articles about PS3 peds...
wish I could take more than 1 bubble per week from eagle21, what a stup1d troll. at least Sir_Ken is funny/clever...
that's very funny Sir_Ken but lately I've been realizing how good we 'chatbots' have it with Mass Effect exclusivity (for now, at least - we'll see what happens with ME2 and EA).
Mass Effect is like the only true grown-ups title. practically zero corny dialogue, and the side-quests/missions don't feel unnatural either. a bit more variety would be welcome in those side-quests, sure; but there're basically no 'hey, that would never happen if you think it thru' moments.
despite what I said above^ about wanting maybe some Level 5 games, I agree with Morbius. overall, western rpgs have far surpassed jrpgs now IMO.
jrpg = last-gen.
Level 5 certainly has grown into a fine rpg factory. I'd rather have a Level 5 game than FFXIII myself.
I own only 360 so no Level 5 games 4 me I guess. :( well, maybe Squeenix will surprise us this time...
why Halo 3 not GEARS? I don't much care for Halo myself. also: why do people insist on calling Cortana hot? she's so not hot...
I agree, Coolrah's comments have been far from bias-free. but hey, maybe he's trying to turn over a new leaf - or however the expression goes...
@darkride66: yes, the faulty console thing is downright shady. however, not sure what you're getting at with your last paragraph. if u are saying the lack of online users reflects a high # of 360 're-buys', I think you're grasping at straws - or however the expression goes...
